PAKISTAN WANTS TO NEGOTIATE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT WITH JAPAN

PAKISTAN WANTS TO NEGOTIATE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT WITH JAPANPrime Minister said that Pakistan is looking forward to a great cooperation with japan particularly in trade, investment, infrastructure and energy.

The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said in a meeting with Takashi Korai (Ambassador of Japan) that Pakistan and japan are close friends and a reliable economic partner and both countries want to take step forward for Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

 “Japan may also consider a 3-4 year exception for Pakistani textiles under its Temporary Tariff Measures to bring Pakistan at par with its competitors which enjoy free access to Japanese market,” Prime Minister.

Prime Minister said after the operation of Zarb-e-Azb, the situation of Law & order is improved and better. Pakistan also welcomed companies from Japan to invest and hopes that Japan will take interest to enhance the capacity of Pakistan industrial Sector.

Pakistan economic growth is appreciated by the Ambassador of Japan and also gives the surety to investment in development sector with friendly environment.
