Sharif Brothers Exposed in Deceiving Innocent Nation

There was a time before CPEC project when economy of Pakistan suffered through a worst scenario in terms of down trend. But overseas Pakistani citizens came to rescue the country’s economy and inject huge amount of foreign remittance in the country. According to statistics, overseas Pakistani citizens transferred an amount of more than 150 Billion dollars in bank accounts of Pakistan. This helped Pakistan in combating severe financial crisis.

In return of this kind sympathy and patriotism, Govt of Pakistan deprived overseas citizens from their democratic right of voting during elections. There are almost 8 Million Pakistani citizens who are residing abroad but no one has access to their ballot box from outside Pakistan. Several mechanisms were planned to include overseas Pakistanis in voting system but noting turned int reality.

When database of NADRA was computerised, it was said that overseas Pakistani will have right to cast their vote using their mobile phones. In addition to this, various committees were formed for this purpose but all in vain. Opposition parties also raised their voice for voting rights of overseas Pakistanis. In year 2011, Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Arif Alvi filed a petition in election commission of Pakistan for same cause under Article 17. In response, false statement was given that overseas voting is in process and will be finalised soon.

Today is year 2017 and still overseas Pakistani citizens are deprived from their democratic right of voting in general elections.
